In to the wild

It’s an outlet of freedom, the simplicity of life under the stars, and getting much closer to nature.
For many guests who stayed at the slow camp at the bottom of our site, it has evoked such a special love of the outdoors with life-changing consequences. From the crackling of campfires to the eerie silence of the forest. The ultimate refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Fly-drive holiday

You can find direct flights to our local airport in Pescara, which serves many Ryanair routes throughout Europe.  From the airport to Rocca di Sotto it’s only an hour’s drive by car (about 30 miles).
For a fly-drive holiday you can find out more information about the costs of car rental by contacting “Hertz” Airport Pescara.

The facts

The walk of approximately 350 meters from the parking area to the slow camp is not suitable for the untrained hiker due to the fairly steep slope with a gradient of approximately 25%.
A maximum of 3 tents are allowed on the approximately 5 hectare site, so you have enough space and peace to set up your own tent.
If the surface of the path is dry, we can help transport the luggage with our 4X4.
There is no toilet, so you must dig a latrine yourself for which a shovel is provided as well as a bucket to extinguish the campfire. In July and August there maybe a lack of water in the stream or even a drought, in which case campfires are not allowed.
There is a sink and an outdoor solar shower with tap water.
Of course, after the climb up, you can use the sanitary building and the vegetable garden at the mini campsite.

Prices per night

Slow camp guest review

Bas and Remco, now seasoned slow campers, wrote in the guest book:
Slow camping took a bit time to get used. But after one day our place nearby the oak became the most luxury pitch we ever had. ”The space and the rest we will miss.”
